Baby Bump or wedding cake bump? Week 15

This week's post is a few days late, sorry! Our weekend has been jam packed with great events, namely Rich and Laura's wedding. Thanks Rich & Laura for a wonderful evening. The photo was taken after we got home from the wedding - Sam wanted in on the fun apparently. Soon after this I felt extremely sick from all the sugar I inhaled last night. The sugar hangover seems to be subsiding now, so I'm sure I'll be back on the cookie wagon tomorrow :)

So week 15 has been really good for me. Felt good and worked out 3 days this week. Took a turn toward eating a bit healthier (not paleo like Josh, but not eating all carbs at every meal!). We went to the doctor on Monday and heard the hearbeat again, which is always reassuring. We had many more questions for her this time, so it was nice to get those answered (can I eat deli meats, heart rate during exercise, etc). We booked an appointment for March 21st to go back and find out the sex of the baby!!! We're so excited to find out. I have complete respect for those that do not find out and wish we could do that, but it is just not in the cards for Josh and I. We want to know and the sooner the better!

Josh has also been busy "nesting" - which means trying to get all house projects out of the way before August. So far two bathrooms have been painted, a new ceiling fan hung in our room, and in the coming weeks we will be getting a new fence/back patio. These projects were always on our list, but it has just become more important to get them done now vs later. I can't wait to start decorating the nursery, which will hopefully be not long after March 21st!

Until week 16, take care of yourselves! Love you all.

Week 14

Alright, so week 14 has arrived and the picture taking has begun! I know the picture looks like I have a belly, but in person or from the front you really can't tell. Maybe it's because I had a belly before :) To me, it looks more like a food baby (which could be possible with the amount of carbs I'm throwing down lately). That being said, I can DEFINITELY tell there is something growing in there. I feel much bigger than this picture shows!

So far (knock on wood) the pregnancy has been really good. I have only been sick twice - and those were quick and fairly painless. I am just plain exhausted at the end of the day. It doesn't help that work is insane right now, but that will soon pass. I've been trying to keep a good workout schedule, some weeks are better than others but I guess that's ok :)

We go to the doctor on Monday. I'm really excited because we haven't been in 5 weeks. I feel overdue. We can't wait to hear the heartbeat again and just know that everything is progressing as it should. Maybe we'll even take a peak to see what we're having if the doctor allows that :)

Until next week, CIAO friends!

Our first blog...

Alright, here goes nothing!

So, I've always thoughts blogs were kind of funny. Possibly a waste of time, I mean who cares to read what's going on in someone else's life? If that were true though, reality TV wouldn't be so popular (or my favorite). So when thinking about how to best document these milestones in our lives, I have caved in and created a blog.

So, I already feel behind, but look forward to getting started. As most of you know, Josh and I have been married a little over a year. I can say marriage has been bliss for us. We are so blessed to have found each other and I thank God everyday for such an amazing man. On December 20, 2010 we found out that our family will be growing - we are pregnant! This is such an exciting and scary time in our lives and we can't wait to document it on this blog. I am making the promise to update weekly (yes, with photos of the growing belly even though I SWORE I would never do that). Again, I am a little behind as I am already 13 weeks pregnant and have no pictures to show for it yet. Don't worry though, I will be posting a photo and blog later this week to kick off week 14.

To whoever is reading this out there, you must know us in some way and I want to thank you for the impression you have made on us - either separately or as a couple. Without these influences, we would not be the people we are today. Enjoy!
