Week 19

Week 19 = My favorite so far! Mostly because it's been so much more fun now that we know it's a little baby girl. It makes planning so much easier and the whole experience seem more real. I skipped a picture for week 18 as I couldn't tell much difference from week to week. I think the picture this week shows more of a bump than last time - so we're making progress kids!

I think I already wrote about the doctor's appointment last week, but nothing else has really changed other than feeling "more pregnant" throughout the week. I feel like I can't move as quickly, can't get up as fast or I get a pulling feeling on the sides of my stomach. I'm assuming that's just her growing and my belly making room for it.

Now for names...everyone keeps asking what we're thinking, so here goes. Feel free to respond with your feelings.

Finley Elizabeth or Finley Grace

Ellie Elizabeth

Lyla Elizabeth

That's all for this week, I'll post week 20 if the picture shows some growth, if not adios until week 21!

It's a GIRL!!

Today was the big day! We went to the doctor this morning and found out that we will be welcoming a baby GIRL in August! We are more than excited, more than words can even describe. I was in absolute disbelief, thinking all along that it was a boy. Josh didn't really ever lean one way or the other, but was still just shocked to finally have the verdict. Now comes the exciting part right - the planning of the nursery colors, names, etc! I see lots of tutus and bows in our future....

I have attached a few photos from the sonogram today if you'd like to take a look. I'll update later with the week 19 photo, I skipped week 18 photo since I wasn't seeing much difference week to week. Hopefully this week we will see more of a baby belly :)

Week 17

It has been a big week around the Durst household. Other than the growing bebe in my belly, we have begun construction on our backyard. We decided that a must have new baby (and maybe us too) would be a new patio and new fence :)

Other than the loud noises of construction, I think I might have felt my first movement of the baby last night! It felt like a small little punch or kick, so faint I wouldn't have caught it unless I was lying in bed very relaxed. Or maybe I just convinced myself that I felt something, who knows! We're on count down to Monday - the day we find out if we are going to have a son or daughter!! Please look for a post on Monday evening!
Physically I have felt basically the same as last week. Tired but nothing too bad, no sickness, etc. I can tell my clothes are fitting tighter but still fitting into them for the most part. I'm just wearing more loose-fitting shirts to cover the muffin top! If you compare the pictures I think it looks slightly bigger this week. Also love how Sam has to poke his head in each and every picture.
This past Saturday was such great weather that Josh and I had dinner on a porch - of course this made me crave some sort of beverage, but had to resist. I certainly can't wait to indulge in a large glass of red wine after baby arrives!

Please pray for us that all goes well on Monday with the doctor - and that Baby Durst will give us a clear view!

Week 16

Week 16 - 4 months!

I'm starting to think that the weekly photos are possibly not the best idea...as you can't really tell much difference week to week right now. I'm sure that will all change soon enough though so I will continue on!

This week has been good, sticking to the workout schedule and hectic work schedule. I do feel exhausted on the weekends and do lots of sleeping. Even if the photos don't look like it, I am feeling much larger from last week. I went shopping and bought my first pair of maternity "jeggings" - I'm sure I'll make fun of that in a few years. They are so comfortable though, feels like wearing leggings but looks like jeans AND with a super stretchy elastic waistband! Really thinking I'm going to like maternity clothes...

We find out the gender in two weeks from Monday! We have been discussing some names but don't want to worry ourselves too much until we at least know if its a boy or girl. Josh is also starting to think about getting the nursery in order, changing electrical plugs, paint, etc. It should be a fun next couple of months!!

That's all we've got for now, everyone have a great week!
